BOTOX®
No matter how well skin is preserved and pampered, everyone eventually develops facial wrinkles. Fortunately,
there are a number of options available to remove the lines that accompany aging. Botox® is perhaps the easiest
of all these options. Botox® is an extremely quick approach to softening or removing the natural wrinkles between
the eyes (frown lines), on the forehead, or at the sides of the eyes (crow's feet). These wrinkles are caused by
contraction of the underlying muscles. To remove these wrinkles, Botox®, which is a purified protein toxin, is
injected through a very small needle in minute amounts into the muscles that cause these contractions. Botox®
temporarily paralyzes these muscles. Gradually, the muscles relax and the facial wrinkles soften or disappear.
Patients may experience a slight discomfort when the needle is inserted and the Botox® is injected. The entire treatment
is performed in 30 to 45 minutes at Studio G Salon. There is no recovery time. This procedure can easily be performed
during the lunch hour.
Juvéderm™ Injections
Juvéderm™ are dermal fillers that are injected just below the surface of the skin to add volume to the skin, cheeks,
lips, smoothing unwanted lines and wrinkles such as smile lines, marinette lines, the lines above your lip and frown
lines between your eyes. Treatment and recovery usually take as little as one hour. Over time, Juvéderm™ gradually
breaks down and is naturally reabsorbed by your body; therefore, the doctor may recommend touch-up treatments two or
three times a year to maintain optimal correction.
